In names of pharmaceutical preparations, or drugs, usually indicating that the herb or the like which follows is the chief ingredient: (a) ~ bardich, some kind of drug; ~ borago, a drug made of borage (i.e. having borage as chief ingredient); ~ calamentum, a drug made of calamint; ~ camedreos, an electuary made from common germander Teuchrium chamaedrys; ~ cameron, a compound drug; ~ cartamus, -carthamus, a drug made of carthamus, or bastard saffron; ~ cassiafist(u)la, a drug made of pods of the drumstick tree (Cassia fistula); ~ castorie, a drug made of castoreum; ~ catholicon, -chatholicon, a drug having many ingredients; ~ ciminum, a drug made of cumin; ~ citonicon, -ciconidem, a drug made of cytonia (cp.
