Its IUPAC name is nonadecacyclo[20.16.0.01,6.02,35.03,20.03,32.04,29 . 05,26.07,24.09,38.010,23.012,37.013,22.014,35.015,20.016,33.018,31.019,28.021,26]octatriacontane. The Balaban- Schleyer code, which is [123(1)2312323]perimantane, distinguishes it from the perimantane having as dualist the graph of cis-decalin. The latter diamondoid has code [123(1)2412423]perimantane, and the IUPAC (von Baeyer) name nonadecacyclo[18.18.0.01,26.02,35.03,28 . 04,21.06,29.07,22.09,30.010,27.011,32.013,26.013,34.014,37.016,25.017,38.019,24.022,27.028,33]octatriacontane. In Table 2 we present data for the first perimantanes with all-trans-perhydroacene graphs as dualists. Their IUPAC names were generated by the POLCYC program up to k = 5; for higher k values the required computer time would be unreasonably high. Table 2.
