Finished, colored, topographical map of New York City.
Table of references identifies primary buildings and points of interest in the city.
This map probably served as the original for the printed map of the same title issued in Paris in 1777.
Map has been sectioned and affixed to linen. Backing bears the book stamp of the Duke of Thun-Hohenstein.
Extensive information on 20th century provenance of this map is in the accession book.
Copies 2 and 3 (ACQ: M-72) are negative photostats of same map, obtained in 1935.
