A group of Native American hunters on horseback battling a pair of grizzly bears. One bear has been stabbed with a spear yet continues to attack the rear of one of the horses. This horse's rider wields a gunstock war club and appears to be aiming a blow at the bear's head. The second bear has sunk its teeth and claws into the neck of another horse whose rider prepares to thrust a spear into the bear.
