Full-length portrait of three Native Americans of different tribal affiliations. On the left stands an Osage warrior wearing a headdress made of deers tail and horse hair, a necklace of grizzly bear claws, a quiver and bow, a buffalo hide robe embellished with illustrations of battle scenes and leggings decorated with the hair of scalped enemies. In the middle stands an Iroquois man holding a tomahawk and wearing a feather headdress, a red robe, face and body paint, a nose ring, a peace medal and several necklaces. On the right stands a Pawnee woman dressed in animal-skin robes and wearing face paint and several necklaces.
