566 MARCH MEETING, 1941 We propose the following: Fellowships would be awarded to outstanding graduate students, one majoring in organic chemistry, the other in chemical engineering, preferably men who are expected to receive the Ph.D. degree at the end of the academic year in which awarded; selections would be made by the respective staffs in chemistry and chemical engineering; appointees would be U. S. citizens, young men with demonstrated aptitudes for research; their credentials would be presented to the Company for approval; the stipend for each would be $750 for the academic year; the University would be free to publish research results of the Fellows; Company would like to receive a report from each recipient at the end of the school year; the awards would be known as Allied Chemical and Dye Corporation Fellowships.
