Raleigh Nelson at $5,000 a year (p. 361). On report and recommendation of the proper committee the list of organizations in which the University holds institutional membership was continued the same as last year with the exception of the discontinuance of the Medical Library Association, membership in which was formerly held by the School of Dentistry on behalf of its own departmental library, and the National Amateur Athletic Federation of America, which has been included in the list but to which, as a matter of fact, the University has not paid dues. There were added to the list the National Collegiate Athletic Association and the Intercollegiate Conference of Faculty Representatives-Western Intercollegiate Conference (p. 313). The President reported the expected establishment here under Act of Congress, and with the approval of the Faculty, of a Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps unit (p. 300) constituting the Department of Naval Science and Tactics. The President was given authority to approve the establishment here of a virus laboratory, should such a laboratory be offered under a supporting government grant.
