Regent Cram reported upon a conference with certain students
with respect to room rents (p. 505). As the conference had seemed to
be productive or promising of but small results, the subject was laid
upon the table.
The Board approved and ratified actions of the Finance Committee
as follows (p. 499):

25 M Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Company, General Mortgage, 4%,
dated December 12, 1895, due October 1, 1995. Purchased at 107.75, to
yield 3.68%. Moody's rating "Aaa."
19 M Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway Company, General Mortgage,
2 M of Series "E," and 17 M of Series "C," 42%, dated May 1, 1889,
due May 1, 1989. These defaulted bonds were bought with proceeds of sales
of other defaulted bonds (see "Sales") at 32.039 flat. Moody's rating "Ba."
3 M Commonwealth Edison Company, First Mortgage, Series "H," 334%,
dated April 1, 1935, due April 1, 1965. Purchased at 104.25, to yield 3.51%.
Moody's rating "Aa."
25 M Connecticut River Power Company, First Mortgage, Series "A," Sinking
Fund, 334%, dated February 15, 1936, due February 15, 1961. Purchased
at 105.33, to yield 3.41%. Moody's rating "Aa."
25 M General Motors Acceptance Corporation Note, 1% (discount basis), dated
March 11, 1938, due September 13, 1938, to yield 1.00%.
75 M General Motors Acceptance Corporation Note, 1% (discount basis), dated
March 26, 1938, due September 27, 1938, to yield 1.00%.
40 M Kansas City Terminal Railway Company, First Mortgage, 4%, dated
January 3, 1910, due January 1, 1960. Purchased 30M at 107 to yield
3.54%; 10 M at 106.125 to yield 3.59%. Moody's rating "Aaa."
