The Board met in the Regents' Room at 9:30 A. M.
Present, the President, Regent Leland, Regent Beal, Regent
Hubbard, Regent Clements, Regent Bulkley, Regent Hanchett, Regent Gore, and Superintendent Keeler. Absent,
Regent Sawyer.
On motion of Regent Hubbard, the minutes of the meet —
ing of April 27 were approved as submitted to the members in proof with corrections on page 746.
With respect to the matter of the economical use of University buildings (see page 733) Regent Hubbard reported
that a little later Professor Joseph Bursley would submit
further blue-prints embodying the result of a study made
by him relative to the best dimensions for the average office
for use by University Professors in University buildings.
By general informal consent this matter of the economical use of University buildings and the matter of establishing a policy relative to requests for analyses from private
business concerns (see page 382) were erased from the program.
Regent Clements reported informally, in the matter of
fire insurance, that it had been impossible to make any progress since the last meeting. This question was erased from
the program with the understanding that the committee
would be continued and would report when conditions justified a report (see page 734).
The question of using the property at 237 S. Ingalls St.
was, by informal consent, erased from the program (see
page 701).
On motion of Regent Leland, the question of an addition
to the internes's home at the University Hospital (see page
713) was laid upon the table for the present.
