JANUARY MEETING, 1917 677 The following appointments made by the Secretary, in accordance with authority found on page 423, were approved and the resignations recorded were placed on file:Fred C. Currier, Instructor in Internal Medicine, for the balance of the University year after December II, I916, with compensation at the rate of $75 per month. Charles B. Pillsbury, Assistant in Honloeopathic Medical College, from November I, I916, with salary at the rate of $Ioo per year, twelve months' basis. Carleton W. Reade, Assistant in Chemical Engineering, for the balance of the University year after January 4, I917, with salary at the rate of $Ioo per year. This appointment is vice M[. A. del Valle, resigned. Beecher B. Vetter, Assistant in Chemical Engineering, vice M. A. del Valle, resigned, for the balance of the University year after January 4, I917, with salary at the rate of $I5o for the year. Doris I. Anschutz, Assistant at the Reading Room desk in the General Library, vice Alice G. Estill, resigned, from January I, I917, with salary at the rate of $5oo per year, twelve months' basis. Ildah Brinsmade, Matron at the University Hospital, vice Faith Elliott, resigned, from January I, 1917, with salary at the rate of $900 per year, twelve months' basis. Joseph B. Jewell, Student Assistant in Civil Engineering, vice Harry R. Leach, resigned, for the balance of the University year after January 4, 1917, with salary at the rate of $I50 per year. H. H. Bartlett, Teaching Assistant in Civil Engineering, resigned as of January I, I917. Ezra Koebbe, Assistant in Pediatrics and Contagious Diseases, resigned as of January I, 1917. Robert G. Strong, Special Physics Department Assistant in the Engineering Shops, salary changed from $300 to $260 per year, with a corresponding reduction in the number of hours of service. WNendell Applebee, Special Physics Department Assistant in the Engineering Shops, from January 4, I917, for the balance of the University year, with salary of $40. On motion of Regent Leland, the sum of $444.91 was set aside to cover expenses incurred during the typhoid fever epidemic at the close of the summer, the chief item
