On motion of Regent Beal, Edwin R. Scarboro, B.S.,
was appointed an Interne in the University Hospital to take
charge of the new ward soon to open, with compensation of
room, board, and laundry. To cover such compensation the
sum of $203.50 was added to the University Hospital btudget.
On motion of Regent Peal, Dr. H. S. Bailey, of the
Dental Faculty, was asked to give full time during clinic
hours instead of devoting three forenoons per week to private practice, and Dr. BEailey's salary was in consequence
increased from $1,500 to $i,Soo for the present year. T'he
amount of this increase was provided by changing the position of an Instructor at $8oo to a Demonstrator at $500oo, this
latter position being filled by the appointment of Dr. Robert
J. Wells.
All the above actions were by unanimous vote.
On motion, the Board adjourned to Friday, November
24, at 9:3o A. M.
