436 13A4 Y l-EETING, 1916 The President also filed a copy of the resolutions adopted upon the death of Dr. Angell by the New York University of Michigan Club. A letter from Dr. C. E. Chadsey, Superintendent of Public Schools, of Detroit, communicated to the Regents the appreciation of superintendents of schools in attendance at the institute held at the time of the meeting of the State Schoolmasters' Club. Dr. Ruthven asked the approval of the Regents for the departure of this year's Museum field parties at an earlier date than usual. On motion of Regent -Hlubbard, the Board authorized departure on or about Mlay 20, with the provision that the administrative work of the lMuseum should be carried on during the absence of the members of the staff under arrangements to be made by Dr. Ruthven. On motion of Regent Gore, the Board granted the request of Professor Wenley to be absent from June 5 until Commencement in order that he might give a series of lectures at the opening of the summer school at the University of Oregon. The President reported a letter from Mr. R. H. Webber, as executor of the estate of the late Richard -Hudson, transmitting a check for $26,250 to apply on the bequest of $75,ooo, and stating that the payment of the balance would be somewhat delayed by litigation affecting the estate of J. I. Hudson. On motion of Regent Sawyer, Dr. C. P. Drury, of. the Health Service, was delegated to act as camp physician at Camp Davis and at the Biological Station. On motion of Regent Sawyer, permission to be absent from Commnencement was granted, for the reasons stated in each of the requests, to Assistant Professor C. H. Kauffman, Professor E. MW. Dow, and Professor A. B. Stevens. On motion of Regent Sawyer, M\r. WV. B. Sheldon, a senior student in the Dental course, was excused from attendance at Commencement in order that he might take the annual registration examination for dentists, in the State of Idaho. A communication from Professor A. S. Warthin and Librarian Bishop called attention to the fact that the American Medical Library Association would hold its annual
