I. Pupil nurses in the affiliate school at the time of
the contract between such school and the University of
Michigan.Training School for Nurses will be admitted into
affiliation provided they are able to meet the minimum requirements of the Michigan State Board of Registration of
Nurses, vis. satisfactory proof of good moral character and
the equivalent of complete eighth grade work.
2. Any nurse entering the affiliate school after the
date of contract between such school and the University of
Michigan Training School for Nurses will be admitted to
affiliation if she is able to furnish satisfactory proof that
she has a diploma from a high school accredited by the
University'of Michigan, or that she possesses an equivalent
education, such equivalent to be determined by the College
of Literature, Science, and Arts of the University.
3. A nurse to be eligible for affiliation must have completed eighteen months of satisfactory service in the affiliate school.
4. A furse to be eligible for affiliation shall present
proof that upon the date of her graduation from the affiliate
school she will be at least twenty-one years of age.
5. Affiliate nurses shall have physical condition determined by the Medical Examiner of the University of Michigan Training School and those failing in this examination
will be debarred.
Length of Service. Six months.
SE-RVICES
The Superintendents of Nurses of the Training Schools
by mutual agreement will determine the length, kind, and
number of services and have all plainly stated in a written
contract.
IN STRUCTION
To be entirely practical.
Theoretical instruction shall be arranged by the affiliate
school prior to or after the pupil nurse has completed her
service in the receiving school.
The affiliate nurse shall be privileged to attend lectures
when such attendance does not interfere with the performance of her duties.
A Certificate will be granted at the completion of a satisfactory service.
