APRIL MEETING

The Board met in the Regents' Room at 9:45 A. M.
Present, the President, Regent Leland, Regent Beal, Regent
Sawyer, Regent Clements, Regent Bulklev, and Regent
Gore. Absent, Superintendent Keeler, who later took his
seat, Regent Hubbard, and Regent Hanchett.
On motion of Regent Leland, the minutes of the meeting of March I were approved as submitted to the nmembers
in proof.
Regent Clements made an informal report with respect
to the tunnel from the Campus to West Hall (see page 380).
Without formal action it was understood that the Secretary should ascertain and place before the Budget Committee for its consideration the amount necessary to construct
such tunnel.
The Secretary reported that the charge made for the
analysis of suspected poisoned meat (see page 372) had
been cancelled by Dr. H. W\. Emerson, iwho had made the
analysis.
Regent Beal and the Secretary recommended that an
offer of $200 should be made for the lot near the University Hospital at the end of Hickory Street, on the
north side of that street (see page 392). On motion of Regent Sawyer, the Board authorized the purchase of this
lot if it could be secured, with good title, for this amount.
Regent Beal and the Secretary reported that they had
authorized the transfer of $200 from the Mineralogical salary account to the Mineralogical equipment account under
authority given at the M\arch meeting (see page 396).
