At the meeting of the Faculty of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts held January 27, 1916, the
following amendments to the requirements for graduation
were adopted:Resolved, That the first sentence, Ann. p. 22, be changed.to read:"The degree of Bachelor of Arts is conferred upon.students who have earned one hundred twenty hours of
credit (together with one hundred twenty points) in accordance with the following requirements:..
"And that rule 4, Ann. p. 23, be changed to read as
follows:
"Special distinction, to be recorded on the diploma, may
be earned under the following conditions:
"a. Students who have at graduation a total number,of points greater by 165 than the number of hours earned
in residence shall be graduated 'with high distinction.'
"b. Students who have at graduation a total number
*of points greater by 135 than the number of hours earned
in residence shall be graduated 'with distinction.'
"c. Students who have at graduation a total number
of points greater by I20 than the number of hours earned
in residence, and who, because of consistently good work
in a subject, receive the recommendation of the department,
may, by vote of the Faculty, be graduated with special
mention in that subject." A. G. HALL

On motion of Regent Beal, in accordance with the recommendation of the Faculty of the College of Dental Surgery, the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery was conferred upon the following:Delmer Edward DeForest Standish
Stephen Douglass Sparks William Stuart James
John Gwyn Jones Arthur Dudley Robinson
In accordance with the recommendation of the Faculty
of the Law School, the degree of Bachelor of Laws was,
on motion of Regent Bulkley, conferred upon Colon Monroe
Tenny, Ph.B., Kalamazoo College.
All of the above actions were by unanimous vote.
On motion, the Board adjourned to 9:30 A. M., March
