About the construction

Description: One and a half story, side gabled, Craftsman style house. Wood shingles on upper story, and lap siding on the first story. Gabled dormer on center front with a ribbon of windows. Full width porch under main roof. Porch has brick support piers resting on solid brick balustrade. Wide overhanging eaves with triangle knee bracing, and some exposed rafters. Windows are three vertical lights over one. Rectangular bay on west facade with a shed roof. Modern greenhouse window on east facade rear. Gable front, two car garage at rear.
Date Of Construction: 1926
Context: Henry Ormsby owned the house in 1927 and sold it to Miss Augusta Josenhans and Mrs. Frederica McBride, sisters, who owned the house 1927-1947.
