About the construction

Description: This transitional Queen Anne-Colonial Revival gable front retains its shingled gable with broken pediment and full porch with classical columns on molded cement base. A bay window faces the street on the ground floor. A one story wing with railing atop a flat roof attaches to the rear. Handicap ramp along east facade to front porch. The house sits on molded block foundation and is aluminum sided except gables.
Date Of Construction: 1912
Context: Although the original ownership was not substantiated by deed, Edward and Vadah Feuerbacher lived here in 1912, the year the house was built. At that time the address was 204 W. Michigan. Edward was a blacksmith who worked for John Feuerbacher, a blacksmith on North Ann Arbor St.
