Physical Description
Black pain-weave satin interwoven with silk threads in light purple, rust, coral, maize, chartreuse, red, white, and ultramarine, and metallic threads in three shades of gold. The hexagonal shapes are definied by a weft of gold-coated paper (kinran) in pale greenish gold; the gold threads used in the medallions are wrapped. Inside each medallion is a phoenix design among a floral scroll.

This brilliant coral-colored silk features an elaborate brocaded pattern consisting of exuberant sprays of flowers in yellow, blue, white, and gold thread joined to bunches of fruit and other ornament woven with silver thread. The ground is enlivened by a damask pattern of more schematic vegetal and geometric ornament that echoes these dominant motifs.

Physical Description
Two small pouches for tea caddy. The striped pouch is woven with light brown, dark-green, light-green and dark blue warp threads and light brown weft threads in satin weave, which create stripe, plaid and treasure ("takara") patterns. The round pouch has two side slits for easy opening; a purple cord is inserted through the mouth of the pouch for tying.
Another pouch has whirlpool patterns created with the same satin weave using brown warp threads and light blue, white, and blue weft threads. The weft threads create the staggered, whirlpool patterns. This pouch also has two side slits and tied with light brown color cord at the top.
