- ?c1400(1379) Daniel *Treat.Uroscopy in Norri Dict.Med.(Roy 17.D.1)37va (pg. 886) : Pulmonia and peripulmonia are al day taken for on and vnneþes schalt þou fynde eny distinccion bytwene þat on and þat oþer and neyþer þere is grete difference bytwene. Pulmonia is saide of þis word pulmo, þe lunge, anglice þe pulmonie or elles sekenes of þe lunges. Pulmonia is aposteme on the lunges and pulmonia is sekenes of þe lunges wiþ grete peyn and streythede of onde att þe breste. Item pulmonia is when þe lunge melten and wasten and dwynen awaie.
