(a) To bring (persons) into harmony or accord, reconcile; ~ in (in-to, unto) pes, ~ to unite; also, reconcile (sb. and the church or its clergy); (b) to bring about reconciliation or accord (between persons); promote harmony, resolve controversy; ~ to, induce (love, harmony); ben reconciled, of discord or dissension: be restored (to harmony); (c) ~ ayen, to restore (love).
