Definitions (Senses and Subsenses)

1.
A first-person singular pronoun: (a) as direct object: me; -- often with a complement or as the subject of an infinitive; haven ~ excused, maken ~ man, leven ~ for to liven, maken ~ to studien (thinken), etc.; (b) as indirect object: me, to me, for me; don (forwernen, foryeven, lenen, leren, etc.) ~; (c) as object of a preposition: me; to ~ ward(es, to ~ hiderward; to (with) me, towards me; as ben..to ~ wardes, as may be affiliated with me; and hit were to ~ ward, if it were up to me, if the choice were mine.

As first-person singular reflexive pronoun: myself, for myself, to myself; accorden ~, to agree; auntren ~, venture; felen (knouen) ~, regard myself (as); peinen ~, take pains, exert myself; repenten ~, regret; etc.
3.
As first-person singular pronoun expressing a 'dative of interest' or 'ethical dative': to me, for me; in my behalf (presence), for my convenience, etc.; -- often hard to distinguish from ind. obj. or reflexive.
