(a) To put (things) in order, arrange; to get (sth.) ready, prepare; to rule (a kingdom); to organize (a book, an argument); (b) to marshall (men for battle), draw up (an army, a division of an army); ~ bataille, to marshall a body of troops; (c) to cook (food), prepare (food, drink, a meal, a feast); (d) to put (sb.) into a state or condition, treat (either well or badly); ivel ~, to mistreat; mad araied, in a disordered state; wel araied, in fine condition [iron.].
