Forming the past participle of weak verbs, reduced to -d in later ME: e.g. dēm-ed [OE dēm-ed], lǒv-ed [OE ge-)luf-od], blāmed [OF bla(s)m-é], shāp-ed beside earlier shāp-en [OE sceap-en].
