[1] AES, DNA NR RG 48, Department of Interior, Appointments, Land Offices, Boonville, Missouri, etc., Box 13. Lincoln's endorsement appears on a letter from James W. Nye, William M. Stewart, and U. G. Worthington, March 13, 1865, recommending David L. Gregg for receiver at the land office, Carson City, Nevada. Gregg received the appointment.
