The husband of Mrs. Egbert is an immensely wealthy man, having amassed a very large fortune out of the oil trade. . . . Mrs Egbert is a young and accomplished woman much beloved by a large circle of friends in Philadelphia. These friends are now exceedingly anxious that you should address Mrs. Egbert a line . . . alluding to the noble donation she has made. . . . Her address is Mrs. Milton C. Egbert, Egbert Farm, Venango Co. Penna. If you will write the lines . . . and send the note to me I will forward it to her friends in Philadelphia. . . .'' (DLC-RTL).
