Governor Johnson replied on December 3, 1864: ``From Representation made to me by persons of reliability & loyalty I should have no hesitancy in releasing Alex B Ramsay [sic], John B [sic] Carter & Saml A Owen the Prisoners named in your dispatch'' (DLC-RTL).
