Resolution Introduced in Illinois Legislature
Concerning Election of a Treasurer of the Board of Canal Commissioners1

[January 27, 1840]

Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring herein) that the two houses will meet in the Hall of the House of Representatives on tuesday the 28th. Inst. at 2 o'clock P.M and proceed to the election of a Treasurer of the Board of Canal Commissioners.

Annotation

[1]   AD, I-Ar. The resolution was adopted by the House, but the joint session did not concur until February 1, when David Prickett, clerk of the House, was elected treasurer.
