AN Anniversary Sermon.
PSALM lxxvii.11. I WILL REMEMBER THE WORKS OF THE LORD; SURELY I WILL REMEMBER THY WONDERS OF OLD.
TO contemplate the being and the works of GOD, is an employment at once the most noble, the most satisfying and delightful, that can possibly engage▪ the minds of intelligent crea|tures. Indeed this is the great end of their being. This is the employment of angels, and of all the heavenly hosts. Their distinguished powers, are constantly engaged in "looking into," and admi|ring "the manifold wisdom," order and beauty, which shine with peculiar glory in the works of their Maker. And after all the discoveries they have made, still new, and increasing wonders arise,
