¶ An Epigram vpon Alphonso Prince of Naples, and vpon his Crest, whereon was engrauen a Pellican with this Impressa; Alios seruans meipsum perdo.

The Crest I weare expresseth what I am, "A soft and tender-hearted Pellican, Who to recall life to her dying broode, Suckes from her owne heart life-renewing blood: Being the same, if I appeale to time, "Shee's not more deare to hers, then I to mine.
