Obj. Is it not said 1 Thess. 4. 16, 17. that when the Lord shall descend from heaven, &c. and that the dead in Christ shall be raised, and then we who remain and are alive shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, and so shall ever be with the Lord?

Answ. 1. That is to make good the Scripture which saith, Zach. 14. 5. The Lord our God shall come, and all the Saints with thee, and if they be not caught up to meet the Lord, he cannot bring them with him.

And secondly, the Scripture do not say that they shal abide above, but with the Lord, that is, they shall come down with him, as Joel 3. 11.
