Judica me, Domine. Psal. xliii.
T. S.
JUdge and revenge my cause, O Lord, from them that evil be:From wicked and deceitful men,O Lord, deliver me. [verse 2] For of my strength thou art the God,why put'st thou me thee fro?And why walk I so heavilyoppressed with my foe?
[verse 3] Send out thy light, and eke thy truth, and lead me with thy grace,Which may conduct me to thy hill, and to thy dwelling-place. [verse 4] Then shall I to the altar goof God my joy and chear:And on my harp give thanks to thee,O God, my God most dear.
[verse 5] Why art thou then so sad, my soul, and fret'st thus in my brest?Still trust in God; for him to praiseI hold it always best. [verse 6] By him I have deliveranceagainst all pain and grief:He is my God which doth alwayat need send me relief.
