The condition of man after the fall of Adam is such, that he cannot turn or prepare himself, by his own natural strength and good works, to fai••h and calling upon Goda 1.1; wherefore we have no power to do good works pleasing and acceptable to Godb 1.2, without the grace of God by Christ, both preventing us, that we may have a good Will, and working so effectually in us, as that it determineth our Will to that which is goodc 1.3, and also working with us when we have that will unto goodd 1.4.
