Middle-Ground and Buoy.

This Sand lyeth between Buxey-sand and the East-Barrows, being about five miles in length, and lyeth near North-east and South-west; upon the South-west end is placed a Buoy, which bears from the Shooe-beacon North-east by North, two degrees easterly, about five miles; you may sayl from the Shooe (being below it) by your Lead, towards the Whitaker, in 6, 6 fathom and a half, and 7 and a half, and on the Barrow side in 8 fa∣thom; and in the Fair-way is 9 or 10 fathom; the Buoy, at low-water, lyeth in 18 foot. And on this Sand, at low-water, is 4, 5, and 6 foot water.
