V. It troubles the stomack, and is somewhat binding, so not to be eaten: it's not used in physick, yet some use it to provoke venery Park. and others, to cure the stone. Col. but it hath diverse evill qualities, whereby it is loth∣some and overturneth the stomacks of those that eate it. Bauh: some affirme that being planted in gardens, it driveth away venimous beasts.
