CHAP. XXXV. The Horoscope in Cancer.

THe Horoscope in Cancer signifies acute ingenious persons, doing al things with moderation; subject to much anger; but the same is soone mitigated and quali∣fied; they subsist by publique imploy∣ments or offices, using much flattery.

If the Horoscope be in ♋ and ♄ therein, it signifies a violent death, or much sick∣nesse, or their own brothers to suffer for their vices.

If ♈ be in the 10th. house or Medium Caeli, it signifies the native to lead his life

amongst great men, to have his daily sub∣sistance from other mens estates, alwaies seeking after and desiring good things; but his estate subject to mutability, som∣times loosing and as often gaining.

Capricorne in the 7th. house denotes the native shall be troubled with some daily hidden afflictions, but the same shall be appeased after, much disprofit; he will be ingenious in his actions and under∣standing, but susteyning some secret griefe, and his minde afflicted with many for∣rowes.

Libra, in the 4th. bouse or Imum Caeli, denotes the native shall suffer many la∣bours; applying to civill women, and con∣versant in popular imployments, he will wast the substance of his patrimony that is left him; he will be in power, and neces∣sary to others; well learned and trusted with others secrets; attaining to a very old age, and have an honorable buriall.

If Mercury be in the following signe, he will be preferred before all his brethren; but if ♀ be in the 2d. house, the daughters have most preferment, if the Lord of the geniture be well placed, and Aspected by benevolent starres.
