TO THE KINGS MOST EXCELLENT MAIESTY.

The Lords Spirituall, and Temporall, and Commons, in the high Court of PARLIAMENT assembled.

In all Humbleness shewing,

THat having now by the space of eight yeees, since his Maiesties first institu∣tion of the Royall Fishery, applied himselfe by all the best wayes and meanes, to advance the Artes, Skill and Know∣ledge of the same, for the imployment of people; and encreasing of the Traffike of the Kingdomes,

to the great benefit of his Majesty and the adven∣turers; which being brought to that perfection as formerly hath not bin attained unto; It now wants nothing but execution; which to doe I doubt not but there are many very willing and able; onely that the imployment is not beleeved, to yeeld that answerable profit which is expected and also because it hath beene often begunne and given over againe, and these late associations have much dis∣couraged the wel-wishers thereof; Wherefore to vindicate the honour and reputation thereof, I have made bold in al humblenesse to set forth this nar∣ration, and am ready to demonstrate the action it selfe to be very good and profitable, in all its relati∣ons, and to be embraced and cherished.
