A Prayer of the Author.

O Sweet Jesus Christ, as thou art God in Hea∣ven, and hast a care of thy Church here on Earth, I beseech thee, suffer not thy Servants, that stand for thee, to be cast down and trampled under feet, and those that have fought against their King, to bring thine anointed Vicegerent to be murdered, to carry away the Inheritance of thy Church, and the Lands that were dedicated for thy Service, to be en∣joyed for the Reward of that transcendent wickedness; lest thy Servants should be too much dejected and dis∣heartened to stand for thine honour, and thine Ene∣mies encouraged to proceed on in the like malicious wickedness: but rather let them feel the power of Moses Prayer for Levi: and Davids Prophesie against them that will rob thee and thy Servants of their Houses and Possessions: and be thou a just Judge be∣twixt us and them. Amen.
