English, John Smith, Edmund Smith of Rye, and the Master, all Subjects of his Majesty, Owners of the Cargoe: She was in her course from Rye to Rotterdam, in December 1675, seized within Pistoll Shot of Dover Peer, by Nicholas Botfel, a French Caper, the Master much abused, and one of the men shot through the body, for no other rea∣son then not striking the Top-sail, as the Caper hath been examined by the Judge of the Admiral∣ty, in March last.
