I am very sorry I had the Ill Fortune of being abroad ye∣sterday, when you came to see me. It is not the way to im∣prove the first Mark of kindness you have given me; and if you have the least Passion for me, you must needs take it very Ill. I shall never be at rest till I have satisfi'd you about it; and it will never be so soon as I desire it.
