℞. Roots of round Birthwort 1 Ounce; let it boil
in a pint and a half of white Wine, to the Consumption of a third part; then
add to the Liquor strain'd and press'd out an Ounce and half of Honey of
Roses, Tincture of Myrrh, and Aloes, of each half an Ounce.
This Injection being squirted or sy∣ring'd into Wounds,
cleanses and deter∣ges them, resists putrefaction, and pre∣vents in a
great measure a Gangrene;
