Cum modestia eos cor∣ripientem qui resistunt, forte da∣bit eis
paenitentiam, In meekness instructing or rebuking those who
oppose them∣selves, perhaps God may give them repentance. So
Theophylact,〈 in non-Latin alphabet 〉〈 in non-Latin alphabet 〉,
Fortasse, inquit, erit aliqua emendatio, Perhaps, he saith, there may
be some amendment, for∣tasse dederit Dominus paenitentiam,
perhaps the Lord may give them repentance. So the Greek
Interpreters Translate 〈 in non-Latin alphabet 〉〈 in non-Latin alphabet 〉,
where the Chal∣dee, Samaritan and English render forte,
per∣haps, Gen. c. 24. v. 5. and 29. c. 43. v. 12. c. 50. v. 15. And
Gen. c. 32. v. 20. They Translate the same word,
