Woe to them that are wise in their own eyes.] Supple, They which are wise in their own conceites, had rather rule their actions by their own conceites, than by the word of God: and rely more upon their own judgement, than upon what the Prophets of the Lord say: And so follow their own fond conceites, to their own destruction.

In their own eyes.] i. e. In their own judge∣ment, or in their own opinion and conceit.
