For if our God be reconcil'd, We shall be sav'd and sigh no more. [ 4] Great God! how long wilt thou reject Our pray'rs, when we thy help intreat? [ 5] Whilst we large draughts of tears drink down, Tears that are mingled with our meat. [ 6] Our foes, agreeing in our harm, Strive only who shall spoil us most; Laugh at our trust in God, too weak They think, t'oppose the pow'rs they boast, [ 7] Oh change our State, and us again Unto thy favour, Lord, restore; For if our God be reconcil'd, We shall be sav'd and sigh no more.
