When we say we are iustified by faith: our meaning is that we are pronounced iust in Gods sight, for that by faith the Lord doth a impute vnto vs for righteous∣nesse, b the obedience of Christ, which he performed for vs, vnto his father, c in ta∣sting death for vs, and so in paying the dpu∣nishment we did owe for the breach of the law.
