Ans. 1 In the first Commandement is set

downe whom we should worship, that is, God only and alone.

2 In the second, how we should wor∣ship him: namely according to his word in spirit and truth: without representations.

3 In the third, ye end wherefore we ought to worship him, that his name may be hal∣lowed, his kingdome inlarged, and his blessed will accomplished in all, and ouer all by his word.

4 In the fourth, The time and meanes which the Lord hath appointed for his worship and seruice, being the Sabbath day, The Preaching of the Word, admini∣stration of the Sacraments, prayers, and prayses. Which foure precepts are the first Table, containing our dutie toward God in hallowing his name, In seeking his kingdome, and learning his will.

5 In the fifth, which is the first of the se∣cond Table, containing our duties to∣wards our neighbours, God taketh order for the duties of Inferiours towards their Superiours and Elders, and of the Supe∣riours to their Inferiours.

6 In the sixth, of the safety of our brothers life; that ciuill society and peace may bée

maintained among men.

7 In the seuenth, of his wife, that chast wedlocke and holy conuersation might bee preserued, and a holy seed continued.

8 In the eight, of his goods, that true dealing, faithfull labour in our calling, contented minds with our portion, thank∣fulnesse to God, and helpefull furtherance to our brethren may bee practised.

9 In the ninth, of his good name, that truth in word, in witnes, in report, may bée exercised among men, for the preseruing of their good names and estimation.

10 In the tenth, is forbidden the least de∣grée of sinne against any o these Comman∣dements; namely the lust and motion to sinne, aswell as the consent and deed.
