Mad doggs biting, the cure.

TAke powder of Crafish shells i ʒ, drink it in Dragon water with Mithridate j ℈, and apply to the sore the same powder mixed with Garlick bruised.

Meagrome in the head Impostume, Feaver, and all head aches.

TAke of the roots of Pellitory of Spaine j ʒ, Spicknard dj. beat them together, and boyle them in good Vinegar, then let them coole put thereto honey and Mustard ana a sawcerfull, mix them well together, let the Patient put halfe a spoonefull thereof in his mouth, and hold it there a good while, then spet it forth, renew it so twelve

times, when you goe to bed drinke a little downe, use this three dayes, and you shall be well.

Menstruous to provoke.

TAke so much of the powder of Aristo∣lochia rotunda, Myrrhe and Savine mixed ana as will lie on a shilling in warm white wine, adde thereto one race of Gin∣ger grated.

Menstruous, to stop the much flowing.

TAke the shells of a new laid egge, the inner skinne pilled off, boyle it in wa∣ter one houre, then dry it and beat it to fine powder, drink that powder at twice in red wine warme, at every drinking goe to the newest Moale casting, put away the earth with her foot, and sit downe and make wa∣ter in the Moale hole, use his till you be wel, during this cure let her eat Ising lasse.

Morphew to cure.

TAke the juyce of Orpinis mixed with strong vinegar, and many times anoynt the same.

Morphew, a Lotion.

TAke one spoonfull of Mustard, Celen∣dine, and wilde Tanzie ana j M, stamp them till they be thick like greene sauce, then powre to them strong wine Vinegar soure spoonfulls, mix them well together, then straine the liquor hard out, and there∣with often bathe the griefe till it be well.

Mother suffocation the cure.

TAke the leafe of the great Burre, lay it on the crowne of the head, and lay up∣on that a hard rosted egge crushed thereon, bind them fast on with warme cloathes, first shave the crowne of the head.

Item, take the powders of Harts-home, Jvory, the haires of a Hares skinne, the clawes of a Sheepe or Goats burn'd to pow∣der, take of these powders in your Broath.

Mother, the paine in a womans body.

TAke Motherwort, Germander, Hyssop, Diptony, Thyme, Violets, and Mari∣golds

ana j M, boyle them in ordinary Ale, scum it cleane when it is halfe sodden, put to it dj. pint of Bastard, and straine it, drink thereof warme morne and evening.

Maturative to bring an Impostume to suppuration.

TAke the juyce of Smallage, hony, flower of Wheat, and yolks of eggs mixed to∣gether, and applied.

Maturative, another.

TAke juyces of Dazies, Plantine, and Smallage ana, put thereto honey cla∣rified, stirre them on the fire together, and thick it with Wheat meale, when it is al∣most cold put to the yolks of three egges, mix them and lay it on with lint; this is al∣so good for womens breasts swolne.

Milt oppilation, the cure.

TAke the juyce of Docks with Storax liquid, and gum Armoniack, and Vine∣gar infuse them three dayes, then boyle them and straine them, adde thereto Wax and

Oyle, make a plaister thereof, and apply it to the griefe.

Item, boyle the Dock in wine or water, drink it, it will cure.

Morphew spots, or marks in the skin, to cure presently.

TAke the flower of Brimstone j ʒ, infuse it all night in strong wine vinegar sixe spoonfulls, mix them well together, there∣with anoynt the spote, or wet them well, and put linnen cloathes double, and wet therein, and apply them till it be well.

Mouth sore, or sore gums, and to fasten loose teeth.

TAke Rose mary, burn'd Allom ana both powdred, a little white Salt, boyle them in water with English honey, therewith dresse the mouth.

Mouth sore, or any other part, a Lotion most excellent.

TAke Celendine, red Sage, and Honey∣suckle leaves, and flower ana three hand∣fulls,

pure English honey one quart, Roche Allom j lb iiij ℥ small beaten, graines of Paradise j ℥, grosse beaten or bruised, boyle all these in one gallon of Spring water in a close covered P pkin, from a gallon to a pottle, then straine it, and put it up in Vyals, it is good to sunne it sixe dayes, this Lo∣tion cureth any sore being washed there∣with.

Morphew or spots in the skinne or in any part.

TAke oyle of egges what quantity you please, temper them with a good quan∣tity of Letharge of silver bruised, and anoynt the spots therewith.

  • Item, the oyles of Juniper and bitter Al∣monds mixed and anoynt therewith.
  • Item take Hellebore ij ʒ, stamp it to pap, and mix therewith as much juyce of Egri∣mony, and a little Rose water, anonyt there∣with the spots.
  • Item, Camphire powdred with two bit∣ter Almonds then temper it with Rosewa∣ter, anoynt.
  • Item, in using any of these medicines, eat

  • morne and even syrup of Fumitory, and urge with Confectio hameck.
  • Item, let his drinke bee morne and even Fumitory and Centory in Claret wine, boy∣led with a little powder of Jvory.
