And the women sayd vnto Noe∣mi: blessed be the Lorde, whiche hath not left the without an heyre this daye, that shal haue a name in Israel, and that shall bryng thy lyfe agayne, and cherysshe thyne olde age. For thy doughter in law which loueth the, hath borne him that is better to the then seuen sonnes. And Noemi toke the chylde and layde it in her lappe, and became nourse vnto it. And her neyghboures gaue her a name, sayinge / there is a chylde borne to Noemi, & called it Obed: he is the father of Isai, the father of Dauid. This is the generacyon of Pharez, Pharez begat Hezron, Hezron be∣gat Ram, Ram begat Amina∣dab, Aminadab begat Na∣hason, Nahason begat Salmon, Salmon begat Booz, Booz be∣gat Obed, Obed begat Isai, Isai begat Dauid.
