6. To preserve Raspices.

Take the Fairest well Coloured Raspices, Pick off their Stalks very Clean, then Wash them, Besure not to Bruise them; Weigh them, to every Pound of Raspices, put 6 Ounces of hard Sugar, 6 Ounces of Su∣gar-Candy, Clarifie it with half a Pint of fair Water, and 4 Ounces of Juice of Raspices, being Clarified, Boyl it to a Weak Syrup, then put in your Raspices, Stirring them, and let them Boyl till they are enough.
