EXcepteye repent, ye shall all lyckewyse pe∣rishe.

There are sixe dayes in whiche men ought to worke, in them come and be healed, and not on the Saboth daye. Then aunswered hym the Lorde, and sayde, Vpocrite, dothe not eche of you, on the Sabbothe daye, louse his ore or his asse from the stall, and leade him to the water? and oughte not this doughter of Abraham, whome Satan hathe bounde lo .xviii. yeares, be loused from this bonde on the Sabboth daye?

And he sayde vnto them, striue with your sel∣ues to enter in at the straite gate, for many I saye vnto you wyl secke to enter in, and shall not be able.

Beholde they are laste, which shalbe first, and

O Ierusalem, Ierusalem, whiche kyllest pro∣phetes, and stonest them that are sent to thee, how often woulde I haue gathered thy chyldren toge∣ther, as the henne gathereth her neste vnder her wynges, but ye wolde not. Beholde your habita∣cion shall be left vnto you desolate: for I tell you, ye shall not see me vntyll the tyme come that ye shall saye, blessed is he that commeth in the name of the Lorde.
