KNow ye not, that al we which are baptized in Iesus Christ, are bap∣tized to die with him? We are buri∣ed then with him by baptisme for to die, that likewise as Christ was raised from death by the glorie of the Father, euen so we also should walke in a new life. For if we be grafted in death like vnto him, e∣uen so shal we be partakers of the holy resurrection: knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him also, that the body of sinne might vtterly be destroyed, that henceforth we should not be seruants vnto sinne. For he that is dead, is iustified frō sinne. Wherefore, if we be dead with Christ, we beleeue that we shall also liue with him: Knowing that Christ being rai∣sed frō death, dieth no more, death hath no more power ouer him. For as touching that hee died, he died concerning sinne once: and as touching that he liueth, he liueth vnto God. Likewise consider ye also, that ye are dead as touching sinne, but are aliue vnto God, through Christ our Lord.
